Dr. Joseph M.H. Lemmens, Research Engineer on the Development of a male incontinence clamp at the University of Southampton, within Health Sciences.

I undertook my masters in Biomaterials Science and Tissue Engineering at the University of Sheffield. Following on with a PhD at the Kroto Research Institute in developing 3D skin models for irritant testing. I joined the University of Southampton as they had undertaken a clinical investigation into current male incontinence devices and wished to develop an improved device. My research interests are multi-disciplinary with a focus on improving quality of life.

Since joining the University of Southampton in 2016 Joseph has.. medical device design and prototyping

iCURE Innovation-to-Commercialisation programme of University research.
