Dr Sharon X Lin is a Research Fellow and statistician at NIHR CLAHRC Wessex, within Health Sciences at the University of Southampton.

She has had extensive research experience in data analysis and modelling, including working on cutting-edge interdisciplinary research projects in the area of behaviour change, energy and climate change funded by EPSRC and ESRC respectively.

Her current research emphases are health data linkages and big data analyses/modelling.

She has received research fellowship and funding from British Academy, NESTA, UKERC, DUIS, and was a guest research fellow at UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (2009-2010). Dr Lin holds an MSc in Economics from University of London and PhD in Finance at Cass Business School, City University, London.

She taught and supervised students at various levels including a completed PhD at Cass Business School. She has also served as a referee for a number of peer-reviewed journals (e.g. Energy Economics, Energy Policy) and published in peer-reviewed top journals in her research areas.

Research interests

Data Analysis, data linking and modelling, self-and long-term help, She has received research fellowship and funding from British Academy, NESTA, UKERC, DUIS, and was a guest research fellow at UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (2009-2010).
