Midwifery expertise from Health Sciences has helped the development of services in Laos.
Following an international conference on improving maternal health at Southampton, Mary Foss travelled to Xieng Khoung in the north of the south east Asian country to see the progress of a government initiative in developing a community midwifery programme. Mary has contributed support in the design and academic underpinning of the programme.
