Our study centre in Basingstoke is in the "Ark", a world-class medical education, cancer teaching and research centre next to the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
Download mapThe hospital is on the A340 Aldermaston Road in Basingstoke, easily accessible by road from junction 6 of the M3. Follow the hospital signs from Ring road. There are a number of parking areas available, a drop off point and disabled parking spaces outside the main entrance. Please allow extra time on arrival, as parking is sometimes difficult.
Several bus routes stop outside the hospital.
Nearest station is Basingstoke, approximately 1 mile from the hospital.

The Royal Hampshire County Hospital provides the full range of general hospital services, including accident and emergency, general and specialist surgery for inpatients and day-cases and general medical facilities.
From the east:
Leave the A303 and follow the A3093 sign for Andover. At the first roundabout go straight on towards the town centre, passing the Twinings factory on the right. At the second roundabout follow the sign for town centre onto Churchill Way. At the third roundabout follow town centre signs onto Northern Avenue. At the fourth roundabout signs direct you to
Andover War Memorial Hospital, which is roughly half a mile further on Charlton Road.
From the west:
Leave the A303 and follow the A343 sign for Andover. At the first roundabout follow signs for ring road (Portway Industrial Estate and Charlton). Signs for the ring road should also be followed at the second and third roundabouts. At the fourth roundabout signs will point the way to Andover War Memorial Hospital which is roughly half a mile further on
Charlton Road on the right.
The hospital is approximately 20 minutes walk from the mainline train station. It is a steep, uphill walk from the station and the centre of Winchester, but a number of local buses stop by the hospital from the Broadway in Winchester.
South Winchester - Park & Ride is located off Junction 11 of the M3.
East Winchester - Park & Ride (St Catherine's and Barfield) are located off Junction 10 of the M3.
