When you register to undertake a programme you will be registered as a student of the University of Southampton. This will give you access to the full range of University student support services.
While undertaking a module you will also have a network ID, giving you access to module related information available on line and IT ( "Isolutions") and Library services. The University student-centred services are located in George Thomas building (Building 37) on the Highfield campus.
Students have access to Study Centres which are equipped with computers, lockable storage and a wireless hot-zone.
The schools intranet plays an important part in keeping you up to date with developments within the Health Sciences. Much of your taught material will be distributed through this medium. To make the best use of innovative teaching technologies, the intranet links you directly to your personal 'portal' which is a configurable interface to the faculty and University information and systems that you will require during your stay with us.
A team of people provide technical and web support directly to the Faculty. Where necessary, they set up and run extra services that are needed specifically by health science students.
As a registered student, you are able to access the University Libraries including the full range of online services including access to a huge range of journal articles from home or work through the Library's web-based system.
The University offers a huge range of resources and study support across all our campuses to help you make the most of your learning experience.
