Julie Wintrup organised a 'Tweetchat' with Bertolt Meyer via Twitter last Friday to meet with students from the Ethics in a Complex World (Curriculum Innovation Module).  Many Health Sciences students participated in the @EthicsSoton #makinghuman conversation which generated some fantastic questions and debate.

Research by Dr Ann-Marie Hughes on rehabilitation technologies has featured on The Tech Show , Manoto1 - the most popular channel in the Persian speaking world.  The piece starts at 47 seconds.

The annual Health Sciences careers fair will take place on Monday 11th March.  This year the event is open to all year one, year two and final year students.  Over 50 exhibitors are attending and 600 students have registered so far.  If you know of any students that would like to attend and have not yet registered, they can still sign up here.

This year's Faculty Bake Off raised over £230 for AMECA.  A picture album of the entries can be found on the Health Sciences Facebook page.  Our page has over 700 fans now and it's growing from strength to strength.

Earlier this month Wessex HIEC launched an endorsed online training package for stroke care teams to help improve the quality of care delivered to early discharge stroke care patients.

A launch event for the introductory course on telehealth/care education and training materials will be held on Tues 26th March at the Nuffield Theatre, lecture room C.  Health Sciences staff, students and postgraduates are welcome. See here for further information and to register.
