Our marketing team has been working on two exciting new films for the Faculty. The first follows undergraduate nursing student, Becca, on her first few months here. The second follows MPhil / PhD Research Doctorate student, Lisa Tedesco Triccas, and her research into the Neurological Rehabilitation of stroke patients.

The beginning of last week saw the MSc ART project team come together in Bucharest for the second partner meeting since its launch in October 2012. The meeting was held at one of Bucharest's top medical rehabilitation centres. The main agenda focussed on developing and finalising competences for the programme.

Nursing student Caroline Edmunds, winner in the 2012/13 Cavell Nurses' Trust Scholarship Awards, was recently interviewed for BBC news about Government proposals to make student nurses spend time working as healthcare assistants before completing their degrees.

In collaboration with the Southampton School of Management, the Wessex HIEC has arranged two events around innovation in social enterprise for health and care services.

The first event will draw from and inform current European wide research on innovation in health and care services being undertaken at the University of Southampton.  This free event takes place on 14 May and further information can be found here.
