Congratulations to Debra Ugboma who won an overall University Award, as well as a Faculty Award, in the Best Feedback category of the SUSU Excellence in Teaching Awards .
A further three of our staff also won Faculty Awards: Outstanding Lecturer, Julian Pearce; Innovative Teaching, James Wilson; and Best Academic Support, Annabel Smoker.

The Macmillan Survivorship Research Group's Research for Patient Benefit Programme has completed recruitment on time. The aim of the programme is to develop and pilot an online resource to support young women with early stage breast cancer to make decisions about surgery.

The Assessment & Learning in Practice module was validated successfully last week with both NMC and University approval. The programme team has developed a multi-professional programme to prepare Mentors, Practice Teachers and Practice Educators in the skills, attributes and knowledge to assess the learning and performance of students in practice environments.

Researchers, led by Professor Ann Ashburn, have begun a new four-year study to evaluate the benefits of PDSAFE, a personalised treatment programme for preventing falls among people with Parkinson's disease.
Funded by the National Institute for Health Research Health Technology Assessment (NIHR HTA) Programme, the study aims to recruit 600 people with Parkinson's disease from four areas in the South of England.
