News roundup

Published: 2 May 2013

A summary of the latest news and intelligence from around the Faculty.

Health Sciences was well represented at all levels at last week's British Society for Rheumatology (BSR) and British Health Professionals in Rheumatology (BHPR) annual conference held in Birmingham.

Our academics presented many posters, chaired meetings, ran workshops and held special interest groups.  Much networking was also undertaken and feedback from our PhD students that attended was incredibly positive.

The next meeting of the The Higher Education Academy Lived Experience Network will be hosted by Health Sciences on Tuesday, 7th May.  The purpose of the group is to showcase good practice and help improve service user and carer involvement within healthcare education.

The Faculty will be making a number of presentations, including one on the Human Library, and Trevor Kettle will be talking about our research. All Higher Education healthcare educators are welcome.  To register contact j.e.symons@leeds.ac.uk
