A new forum has been set up by Dr Ruth Bartlett (Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Health Sciences) to facilitate conversations and priority setting in relation to dementia action, research, and education. Launching on 10 th September the Dementia Action Research & Education (DARE) Network will meet bi-monthly.

Congratulations to Ellen Kitson-Reynolds and Chris McLean who have both recently been awarded Clinical Academic Internships which will begin in the new academic year. Candidates are required to develop their post-doctoral, clinically-focused research, aligned to one of the Faculty Research Groups.

Health Sciences has three stories published in the latest issue of New Boundaries: an article on the programme of research being undertaken by researchers from the Macmillan Survivorship Research Group (MSRG) to understand the needs of cancer survivors (pages 8-9), an interview with Dr Lesley Collier on her research into multi-sensory environments (pages 20-21) and Peter Griffiths' nurse satisfaction survey on page 29 in the ‘In brief ‘ section.
