Congratulations to lecturer in public health, Wendy Wigley, who's had her abstract accepted by the RCN International Research Conference in Glasgow next April.  Wendy will be giving an oral presentation of the findings of her study: ‘Carrying hope: A grounded theory study of pre-registration nursing students' understanding and awareness of their spirituality'.

As part of the University's Distinguished Lecture series Dr Doris Howell, Senior Scientist, Ontario Cancer Institute (OCI), will be delivering a lecture: ‘Tailoring Chronic Disease Self-Management to Cancer: Results of a Mixed-Method Study and Road Map for Change'. The lecture will take place at 4pm today in Building 67, Lecture Theatre 1027.

Well done to Annabel Smoker and the organising team involved in Employability Week which took place 25th-29th November.  Over 500 final year health sciences students attended events during the week which included presentations by employers and former students, workshops on career planning and the Health Sciences Careers Fair.
