Congratulations to Professor Catherine Pope and her University colleagues Susan Halford and Dr Mark J Weal whose paper ‘Digital Futures? Sociological Challenges and Opportunities in the Emergent Semantic Web' was awarded a SAGE prize for innovation and excellence at the BSA Annual Conference yesterday.

Megan Bonner-Janes, lecturer in child and psychosocial health, has made an appearance in the latest issue of the Voice. Megan is featured within an article on staff from across the University who are working on a process improvement programme focused on enhancing the student experience.

A reminder that the seminar looking at ways in which low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) could be used in a physical health care environment is running on 19 th May from 2-4.30pm. The afternoon will include an introduction from Kevin Jarman, Deputy Director - Adults, IAPT Programme. The event is open to all and you can register here .

The deadline for submitting abstracts to the 4 th Health Sciences Postgraduate Research Conference on 18 th June has been extended to Friday, 2 nd May. Doctoral and MRres students can submit abstracts to the conference no matter what stage they are at.
