Professor Dame Jessica Corner was interviewed by Louisa Hannan on BBC Radio Solent earlier in the week about her damehood. is on at approximately two hours and 16 minutes into the programme.

Congratulations to MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (District Nursing/ Children's Community Nursing) student, Helen Snelgrove, who has been awarded the Philip Goodeve-Docker Memorial Prize for District Nursing Students. Helen will be presented with her award at The Queen’s Nursing Institute Autumn Awards Ceremony in November.

Congratulations to the Occupational Therapy students from the second collaboration with Lund University, led by Sharon Hider and Sam Douglas, whose project work abstract has been accepted for the Fifth Interdisciplinary Conference on Aging and Society in Washington D.C in 2015.

 

The abstract was completed and submitted after the Lund exchange visit, supported by Maggie Bracher (OT Lecturer), and demonstrates the students’ enthusiasm for contributing to the debate.

Finally… Professor Alan Glasper has published his latest article in the British Journal of Nursing.In this issue he discusses the ramifications of the new rules to improve food intake for NHS patients and staff.
