Professor Peter Griffiths comments in the Nursing Times in relation to this Tuesday’s publication of new guidance, which follows recent criticism of NHS England after asking the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence to stop work on developing nurse safe staffing guidelines for the NHS. Peter is quoted as saying: “While I applaud the framework itself, it is the specifics that are left open to interpretation”.

Professor Mandy Fader and Dr Sandra Wilkes, senior research fellow (Microbiology), are to feature on the BBC One Breakfast News this Saturday morning. Mandy and Sarah were filmed in the IfLS lab by the BBC earlier in April for a piece on catheters.
