Surgery at the Winchester Discovery Centre

An evening of conversation, real-life surgical footage and working demonstrations, Surgeon is Tim Underwood's personal story of a surgical career, the challenges he confronts every day and his efforts to help eradicate oesophageal cancer.

About Tim

An award-winning surgeon and Medical Research Council clinician scientist, Tim Underwood  is an upper gastrointestinal specialist at Southampton, combining surgical practice with research to improve patients' outcomes and oesophageal cancer diagnosis, treatment and care. Tim is also a trustee of Heartburn Cancer Awareness & Support, and is running the 2013 New York Marathon with colleagues to raise £100,000 for Cancer Research UK.
