Student engagement as a shared agenda: people, places, practices

The RAISE network is organising a second annual conference to be hosted by the University on 13 and 14 September.

The network creates opportunities to come together to research, create collaborative projects, share good practice and lobby for investment and better policies locally, sectorally and across our international community.

This year's conference will clarify the conceptions and purposes of student engagement we share - as academics, students, education developers, student support and professional services - and identify those which belong to other agendas.

We will be welcoming, among others, Ian Solomonides, Director of Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and launching Ian's new book; Malia  Bouattia of the NUS Black Students Campaign; and our keynote speaker, Gwen van der Velden, Director of Learning and Teaching Enhancement at the University of Bath.  Delegates will be welcomed by the University's Registrar, Tessa Harrison.

Registration is now open.  Entry is free to student presenters.
