Visiting academic at Green Templeton College, Oxford

Green Templeton College - or GTC - is Oxford's newest graduate college, founded in 2008 following the historic merger of Green College and Templeton College and it is specifically geared to the needs and interests of postgraduate students. GTC has a distinctive academic profile, specialising in subjects relating to human welfare and social, economic and environmental well-being in the 21st century. Subjects include: medical sciences, management, and a broad range of social sciences, including education, environmental sciences and social policy.

Sue Colley has been invited to undertake a ‘mini sabbatical’ at GTC and will be working with colleagues in Oxford to explore new ideas relating to her own work. These explorations will be undertaken within a ‘collaboratory approach’ and there will be a strong focus on developing practice led views of theory. Sue is delighted to be offered this opportunity and to be part of a small group of academics and practitioners who are engaging in the emerging Oxford Praxis Forum

She will be in Oxford throughout November, returning to the Faculty in early December. On her return she will continue to develop the work and will be retaining links with GTC throughout the academic year. There will be an opportunity to learn more about Sue’s links with GTC during the staff development programme scheduled for the end of this term
