Indenter Rig

The indenter rig can be used to measure the dynamic stiffness of seat cushions and the dynamic characteristics of suspension seat components such as dampers and springs. It may be used to conduct a quasi-static compression test for measuring load-deflection curves of seat cushions.

The associated Ling V860 electro-dynamic vibrator is capable of a peak sinusoidal force 20 kN, accelerations up to 23 g, peak-to-peak displacements of up to 25.4 mm, and a frequency range from 1 to 1500 Hz.
