Dr Dan Levene (History/Parkes) has been awarded what is probably the first Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Fellowship in Humanities at Southampton.

Dr Dan Levene (History/Parkes) has been awarded what is probably the first AHRC Fellowship in the School of Humanities at Southampton (the scheme which replaced the Matching Leave Scheme) for a project on 'A Corpus of Curses: Aggressive Incantation Texts in Jewish Aramaic from Late Antiquity'.

Dan comments: "Essentially this will allow me to finish a book though a number of other outcomes, including a popular publication and some presentations."

The fellowship is worth £72,177.
