Medicine in History and Society
We are pleased to announce the inauguration of the mini website, Medicine in History and Society, which represents the cross-University research cluster in medical humanities.
The website was initiated by
Dr Hormoz Ebrahimnejad
, the Wellcome Trust Lecturer in History.
It aims to introduce the wide range of research interests and publications of group members in medical humanities which, despite their outstanding academic value, have gone unnoticed.
Wellcome Trust funding of £3,000 has allowed us to organise a series of business meetings and research seminars, which have been taking place since March this year and which are planned to continue during the coming academic year. On the agenda is also a one-day workshop on
‘Globalisation and Epidemics’
which will be held on 15 December 2010.
