History academic works with Cornwall Record Office in project aimed at local schools

Professor Mark Stoyle has been featured in a short film discussing his research into William Scawen, the seventeenth-century Royalist and father of the Cornish language revival movement.
The film is part of an initiative by Cornwall Council and the Cornwall Record Office to encourage a more Cornish focus to history teaching in local schools. It shows Mark and Chloe Phillips of the Cornwall Record Office taking one of Scawen’s original documents back to the house in which it was written, for the first time in over 300 years.
