Southampton historian publishes monograph on Edwardian England
Dr Christopher Prior has recently published his second monograph, entitled 'Edwardian England and the Idea of Racial Decline'.
The work examines the extent to which English society was stricken by a profound sense of malaise in the wake of the Second Anglo-Boer War. Looking at popular regional and national ideas about military efficacy, urban living and youths, the work offers a fresh take on a topic that has implications for our understanding of the nation on the eve of the First World War. The work is published by Palgrave and is available to purchase from the Palgrave website .
