Feliz Navid - how our students from Mexico shared the holiday spirit

Students from the Mexican Society at the University of Southampton enjoyed a pre-Christmas event attended by BBC South Today.

The celebration of Las Posadas - 'The Inns' - commemorates the journey that Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus. As the students enjoyed food, singing carols and breaking the traditional piñata, reporter Sophia Seth spoke to them about spending the holidays miles from home.
