Alumni are most welcome to attend our new monthly series of lunchtime events titled “Business Stories”. These informal interviews with business leaders are a collaborative venture between the Web Science Institute and Southampton Business School.

The discussions will be led by alumnus Lohan Presencer, Chairman of Ministry of Sound and Advisory Board member for both WSI and the Business School.

Kevin founded PLMR in 2006 since when it has become of the UK’s Top 100 and the World’s Top 250 communications firms.

A fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Institute of Directors, Kevin Craig is one of the UK’s top public affairs, public relations and crisis management experts with 22 years of experience. This includes time spent at Saatchi and Saatchi’s PR Arm, global law firm DLA Piper where he was a founding member of its Lobbying and PR practice, eleven years to date as an elected politician in London Government, including three as Chair of a Planning Committee, being a Member of Labour’s 2001 General Election Communications Team and also a Parliamentary Candidate in the 2005 British General Election.

Awarded the 2011 Public Affairs Consultant of the Year award by Public Affairs News, Kevin is a sought after commentator, appearing on national and international media including Al Jazeera, Sky News, the BBC and Reuters and the Financial Times to comment on political, economic, social and environmental issues of the day. He has an excellent cross party network of contacts and has worked across a number of PLMR’s key sectors. In addition to his private sector work, Kevin has advised a host of not for profit and charitable organisations. He is a Non Executive Director of Company Shop, a former School and College Governor and is a Trustee of the Charity Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope by whom he was nominated to carry the Olympic Torch on the eve of the London 2012 Olympics.
