Frequent and persistent absence can place an additional burden of work on colleagues and damage efficiency and productivity. Our policies and procedures are therefore designed to strike a reasonable balance between the needs of both the business and our staff. They aim to ensure that if you are absent from work due to ill-health or injury you are treated fairly and sympathetically and receive support towards a full recovery. They also enable consistent, fair and effective monitoring and management of absence.
