Weather in Britain although not extreme can vary greatly and it is important to be prepared.
Winter (December to February) is the coldest time of year and temperatures usually have a minimum of about 6°C. There is occasionally snow and the temperatures can go below freezing point.
Spring (March to May) usually the temperature starts to get warmer, but there is still a relatively low minimum temperature of 9°C.
Summer (June to August) can reach over 20°C and sometimes even over 30°C.
Autumn (September to November) can range from 17°C to 9°C with temperatures cooling down in time for winter. Usually autumn is quite wet and windy and in November there is occasionally snow.
