Ms Katie White is a Teaching Fellow in Modern Languages at the University of Southampton.

After working as an English teacher and translator in Spain for 6 years, I completed an MA in Translation and Interpreting at Westminster University. I started working at Southampton University on the LLM pre-sessional in 2008. Since then, I have taught on a range of courses for both English for Academic/Specific Purposes and Spanish language.
I have developed a particular interest in English for Law and Spanish>English translation. I have worked on the Law pre-sessional for six years, and am currently Director of Studies for this course. I have also been heavily involved in the Translation: Theory and Practice module, having created the material for and taught on the Spanish seminars.

I direct the LLM Law pre-sessional; I teach on SPAN LANG3007 translation module and LANG9013 Stage 7, the EAS course and give in-sessional support classes to PhD, Masters and undergraduate Law students.
