SCNR is delighted to announce that Jenni Scott (English) has just won the university's Doctoral College Director's Award for her exceptional contribution to the Postgraduate community. The award recognises her wonderful work in establishing SCNR’s postgraduate forum, building a research community that spans disciplines and Faculties, and now has over 30 members who meet regularly to share work in progress and all things nineteenth century in a friendly, supportive and collegial atmosphere. The community she has helped to create is now making plans for its own open access journal, 'Romance, Revolution and Reform'. If you are a 19th-century Postgraduate and would like to join SCNR’s PGR Forum, please contact Professor Mary Hammond and she will forward your message to Jenni.

Many congratulations to Jenni on this achievement – she is a very inspiring example for postgraduate researchers, the Centre, and the university.
