Event details

During term-time the Music Department holds a series of free lunchtime concerts at 1pm for the benefit of our students, staff, and the local community. On Fridays it is the students’ turn to show their stuff. These concerts are fast-paced and action-packed as we move from an opera singer to a jazz trombonist to an electrified string quartet to a classical saxophonist without skipping a beat. It’s always exciting to watch them perform as they diligently prepare for exams and hone their skills

MMus Recital:  Ruth Bray, piano

Ruth Bray, Masters Performance student studying under David Owen Norris, presents a varied programme of piano music spanning the nineteenth and twentieth century.

Repertoire to include

Brahms’ lyrical Drei Intermezzi

Schubert’s energetic and lively Impromptu in B flat major.

The exuberant and quirky Six Episodes from a Discontinued Chronicle by Gruber brings the programme to a thrilling end
