Brahms: Violin Sonata No. 2 in A major, Op. 100 (1886)
Grieg: Violin Sonata No. 3 in C minor, Op. 45 (1887)
Laurie McGee performs two late Romantic sonatas for his final recital at University of Southampton. Although composed within a year of each other, these two works are greatly contrasting in style: expect to hear Brahms' warm lyricism, and folk and fire in the Grieg.
