21:00 Teresina 'Taz' Morra  saxophone

Live and Kicking Modern Jazz –
Taz performs with vitality and excitement making her interpretation of modern jazz charts truly unique. This year she juxtaposes her signature powerful Tenor sound with the delicacy of Soprano making for an emotional journey for what has been a rollercoaster of a final year at University. With the backing of her excellent band, she hopes to put on a show that punches with full-on funk and one that will linger in the minds of all those who are a part of the experience.

22:15 Luke Richardson  piano

For one night only, see pianist Luke Richardson perform live at the Talking Heads Pub in Southampton, for an evening of fresh and exciting jazz. A composer in his own right, Luke is also inspired by current jazz icons such as Robert Glasper and Branford Marsalis.

Having formed ‘The Luke Richardson Trio’ in his first year at university, the group are well accustomed to gigs at weddings, restaurants and parties, and performed recently at Bournemouth Jazz Club.

Signed to London’s ‘Limelight’ agency, the trio are looking to break onto the jazz scene in the capital, and build on recent experiences, which include performances with Derek Nash (lead sax in Jools Holland’s Big Band) and Alan Barnes, and at the jazz festivals in Montreux and Vienna.
