American tenor Ted performs his debut Turner Sims recital with James Longford on piano.

American tenor Ted Schmitz has recently performed the central role of Aschenbach in Britten’s Death in Venice with Opera de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. Described as a tenor who performs “with brilliance as a singer and an actor,” Mr. Schmitz is frequently engaged on the operatic and concert stage internationally. Highlights include his work with Seattle Opera, Bregenzer Festspiele, Aldeburgh Festival, Kammer Opera Vienna, Berlin Radialsystem, and the Auckland Philharmonic. In recital, Mr Schmitz has premiered songs by Ned Rorem and John Musto among others with the New York Festival of Song.
