Part of the Composition Workshop series
The Mercury Quartet will workshop six specially composed new works by final year composers from the University of Southampton in the last undergraduate composition event of the year. The Mercury Quartet comprises four rising stars of the UK and Europe's contemporary music scene. Performing either as a quartet or alongside internationally renowned guest artists, they perform classic works of the 20th century alongside improvisations, live compositions, new commissions and unknown masterpieces.
New works by Clarice Goff, Marios Stylianou, Ellen Day, Nicholas Bromilow, Joe Gallagher and Andew Miller will feature in this public workshop.
