Event details

Following a highly successful performance of Twelfth Night in February, this June the Shakespeare in a Week team will bring another of Shakespeare’s great comedies from page to performance in a week, with even the actors and crew learning the identity of the play they are to perform only a week before performance.

This Shakespeare in a Week event will include a variety of performances and experiences, including one big production of a reduced version of Love’s Labour’s Lost directed by English finalist Lydia Longman. Shakespeare in a Week’s performance in February attracted 250 spectators and raised over a thousand pounds for Great Ormond street Hospital. This time, the team will be raising money for student run cancer society SUFAC, Southampton University Fight Against Cancer.

Performances will take place at Highfield Campus on the 15th June at 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Entry will be by donation (minimum £4 recommended).

“Amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! If you didn’t get a chance to watch this fab show, unfortunately it was a one-day only event so you’d better cross your fingers and toes for another production from this team of superbly talented individuals!” - The Soton Tab
