Student band Яed Letter support Mercury Music Prize winners Roller Trio as part of Turner Sims' promoted season.

 

Яed Letter (formerly Muteight) are a 6-piece electronic influenced funk fusion band based in Southampton. They create music with multi-textural layers alongside raw grooves and modern jazz harmony, allowing the soloists freedom to explore rich sound-worlds . Formally known as Muteight, they have supported artists such as WorldService Project and Schnellertollermeier.

The band will be supporting Roller Trio as part of Turner Sims' promoted season.  Featuring James Mainwaring on saxophone and electronics, Luke Wynter on guitar, and Luke Reddin-Williams on drums, Roller Trio‘s music is a fresh, visceral stew of conventional and experimental sounds that features stonking riffs, thrashy noise, evocative songs and electronic soundscapes. Incubated in mammoth improvisation sessions and honed in local gigs, their music is delivered with a captivating swagger and greedy energy that is utterly beguiling and packs a powerful punch.
