Event details

Jazz legend Evan Parker performs a special concert at Turner Sims as part of his European tour

The British jazz saxophone revolutionary transformed the language and techniques of the instrument in the late 1960s and has since become one of the most admired and influential saxophone improvisers on the planet. Parker has developed a remarkable technique that allows him to build a personal soundscape that absorbs and mesmerises.

This one hour solo concert is part of a European tour organised in liaison with the Europe Jazz Network’s Take the Green Train initiative, whereby Evan and tour producer/writer Graham McKenzie are undertaking the whole tour by train.
