The Colour of Money: Fatal Impacts and Savage Legacy

Continuing from the previous recital ‘The Colour Of Money”, this recital will be its sequel, with the intention to illustrate and challenge the concept of racism.

This evening's programme is inspired by a BBC documentary called “BBC: Racism A History” which is presented in three segments, the first of which is named “The Colour Of Money”. This segment summarized the economical and malignant origins of slavery as a form of usurped labour and how the tacit justification of systematic appropriation still allows racism to flourish. In this recital we see how, if at all, this had fatal impacts and, if so, do these impacts constitute a savage legacy?

All performed songs are original compositions by Pedro Correia and Will Scott-Hartley
