This student-run society, dedicated to the full production of small operas, presents its Summer 2017 production. Orpheus tells the story of the legendary Greek musician who traversed the underworld to save his wife through the awesome power of music. This production is an English translation of a French revision of the original opera, looking to clarify its themes of love, loss, death and divinity through striking minimalism and exciting originality.

Running time approximately two hours including one interval. Sung in English with printed libretto available.
Directed by Thomas Wakelin-Pidgeon, Liam Chan, Lucy Grant and Rhys Sparey.
