Harp student Abi Piercy supports top jazz act the Tara Minton Trio at The Talking Heads

The acclaimed Tara Minton Trio perform at The Talking Heads this Easter and we're delighted that final-year harp student Abi Piercy will be performing as one of her support acts, alongside Bad Cat featuring Music alumna Chris Lucas.

Abi Piercy’s love of with the harp started when she was offered a taster session at her school in Oxford. At the age of 10 she began playing the Lever Harp and then moved on to the Pedal Harp five years later. Abi enjoys many different types of music from jazz to pop to classical, including singing with her harp, and is a regular performer in Southampton.

Over the last few years, Abi has played in venues all over the country including The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, National Portrait Gallery and Blackheath Halls. She has played as a soloist and as a member of the Trinity Laban Wind Orchestra, Truro Symphony Orchestra, Cornwall Youth Orchestra and more recently Southampton University Symphony Orchestra.
