How to apply and deadlines for 2018/19

If you are a student on a 2+2 programme please apply for your undergraduate course through UCAS.  Here you will find information on deadlines for applications.

If you are a student on a 3+1+1 programme you should apply for your pre-masters course online

Any student participating in the Programme should have sufficient funds for the full period of study at the College of the Humanities, Xiamen University and the University of Southampton; and show the aptitude, motivation and maturity to thrive in the environment at the University of Southampton.

Accommodation

Providing that you apply before the 1st August, we promise that you will be guaranteed a room in one of our halls of residences. 

Entry requirements

For 2+2: GPA of 85% in the compulsory subject specific modules in years on and semester one of year two; IELTS 6.5 oversall with minimum 6.0 in all components.

For 3+1+1: GPA of 85% in the compulsory subject-specific modules in years one, two and semester one of year three; IELTS 6.0, with a minimum 5.5 in all components.

For 4+1+1: GPA of 85% in the compulsory subject-specific modules in years one, two and three; For MA Film, MA Film & Cultural Management and MA TESOL, IELTS 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.0 in all components, or equivalent in other approved English language test.

For MA English Literary Studies, IELTS 7.0 overall, with minimum of 7.0 in writing, 6.5 in reading, listening and speaking.
