Hi, I'm Lizette Drusila Flores Delgado and I studied Distance Modern Languages PhD Researcher within Humanities Graduate School at the University of Southampton.

“I am a Distance PhD in Modern Languages student. I have a Masters degree in Higher Education and a B.A. in English Language from the University of Chihuahua in Mexico. I am a professor at the same University and I have a PRODEP scholarship from the Mexican government to do my PhD at the University of Southampton.”

I have been an English teacher since 2006 and I’ve worked as a professor of the Bachelor program in English Language of the University of Chihuahua, Mexico, since 2009. My Masters thesis was focused on the relationship between English Language graduates and their university, but for my PhD I wanted to do something different.

I just started in September, 2014, so I’m on my first year at Southampton and so far, my research is focusing on mentoring and how to foster and develop teacher autonomy and identity through mentoring, under the supervision of Vicky Wright and Vanessa Mar-Molinero.
