The British Psychological Society Cognitive Psychology Section and the Developmental Psychology Section are holding a joint conference in Stoke on Trent, 4-6 September 2019. At this conference, Professor Sarah Stevenage has organised a symposium on voice recognition. This symposium includes two presentations by the Hummingbird team on the effects of disguise (Professor Sarah Stevenage) and noise (Dr Ashley Symons) on human and machine speaker verification. Other talks include emotional voice recognition (Dr Andrew Dunn), super-recognition in faces and voices (Ryan Jenkins), and voice recognition in musicians (Dr Lesley Calderwood).
