Multi-Channel Plethysmograph

#
Multi-Channel Plethysmograph

The HVLab Multi-Channel Plethysmograph has been developed through research in the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton. The HVLab Multi-Channel Plethysmograph is used in medical, industrial, research and educational establishments.

Finger Systolic Blood Pressure

The Multi-Channel Plethysmograph provides computer-based measurement of finger systolic blood pressures following cold provocation of the fingers. Finger systolic blood pressures measured at different temperatures (e.g. 30°C, 15°C, and 10°C) can be used to detect problems in the vascular response to cold. The plethysmograph has five channels, allowing the simultaneous measurement of finger systolic pressure on all fingers of a hand. The instrument allows tests to be conducted according to ISO 14835-2:2005.

Applications

The HVLab Multi-Channel Plethysmograph is used for the assessment of vascular dysfunctions. The equipment is used in medical, industrial, research, and educational establishments for health surveillance, medical diagnosis, and fundamental research.

Applications include:

Features

The HVLab Multi-Channel Plethysmograph consists of a single unit to which are attached pressure cuffs and strain gauge transducers designed for measurement of finger systolic blood pressures. The system is connected via a USB interface to a computer containing control software. The system controls finger temperature by rapid heating or cooling of water flowing through specially designed pressure cuffs.

Digital Blood Flow

The Multi-Channel Plethysmograph provides computer-based measurement of blood flow on all five fingers simultaneously during venous occlusion of the digits.

Applications

The HVLab Multi-Channel Plethysmograph may be used for the assessment of vascular dysfunctions. The equipment is used in research, occupational health, clinical and medical practice.

Applications include:

Features

The HVLab Multi-Channel Plethysmograph consists of a single unit to which are attached pressure cuffs and strain gauge transducers designed for the measurement of finger blood flow. The system is connected via a USB interface to a computer containing control software. The system controls venous blood flow by pressuring air flowing through specially designed pressure cuffs.
