Nurse staffing and education and hospital mortality

Research by Professor Peter Griffiths showing that a better educated nursing workforce reduces unnecessary deaths after surgery and published in the Lancet, has received major national news exposure this week. The Professor and two BA (Hons) Nursing degree students, Alex Collyer and Katy Elliot, were interviewed for ITV's Daybreak yesterday morning. The story also appeared in The Daily Echo and Peter is expected to be interviewed by Radio Solent later today.
