Luk is a longtime collaborator with the workforce researchers in the Faculty of Health Sciences. His recent work has included modelling moderation and mediation effects to explore how ‘missed nursing care’ may be related to patient outcomes and he is a co-author on many of the recent high impact papers from the RN4XCAST project, including Nurse staffing and education and hospital mortality in nine European countries: a retrospective observational study. In The Lancet
