New Chair of the Sociology of Health and Illness editorial board

Professor Catherine Pope has recently been elected as Chair of the Sociology of Health and Illness (SHI) editorial board. This role will last for three years. SHI is a major international journal published by Wiley currently ranked 25/143 for sociology journals and owned by the Foundation for Sociology of Health and Illness.

Catherine will Chair the Board, dealing with reports from the editorial team and publishers, managing the business related to awarding the New Writers Prize, and commissioning regular monographs etc. Her term of office will coincide with the selection of a new editorial team and she will be supporting the transition between these teams.
