Congratulations to the genetics of paediatric inflammatory bowel disease study team who have now recruited over 400 children and in excess of 1500 total recruits to their study since it began in 2010.

A special mention to Rachel Haggarty, Senior Research Nurse on the IBD study, who has personally recruited the majority of the patients over the last 4 years. With funding secured for at least the next 3 years the team hope to continue increasing the number of recruits and making important genetic, bacterial and immunological research discoveries in paediatric Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
