Dear Patients and Families
We wanted to find some way to reach out to all those patients and families who have joined and supported our research study over the years.
Firstly, we’d like to extend our best wishes to all families at this extraordinary time. We understand that many of our participants will have specific health concerns at this time.
Owing to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, it is appropriate that research studies relating directly to COVID-19 and those where patient safety may be compromised if suspended are prioritised. As a result, it has become necessary to reduce the number of studies being carried out at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. This means that patient and family recruitment to our study will be suspended until further notice. Research activity that does not depend on face-to-face interaction with our participants (e.g. data analyses) are permitted to continue.
We hope everyone keeps safe and well and look forward to being back in full swing as soon as possible.
