"My doctoral research, funded by the ESRC, investigates the spread of tuberculosis (TB) in the prison system, the healthcare provision available to tackle such infectious diseases and the prison's role in growing levels of antimicrobial resistance. Being supervised between two divisions within the School of Social Sciences (Sociology, Social Policy & Criminology and Social Statistics & Demography) I hope to encourage and advocate a broad, interdisciplinary outlook on criminal justice matters. I also hope to represent the postgraduate student body at the ICJR.”
