Professor Graham Roberts

Professor and Honorary Consultant Paediatrician in Paediatric Allergy and Respiratory Medicine

Graham Roberts took up an appointment as a clinical senior lecturer in paediatric allergy and respiratory medicine in Southampton in October 2004. He was promoted to Professor in 2011. Graham Roberts works clinically within the Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust as a paediatrician specialising in allergy and respiratory medicine. Additionally he oversees the undergraduate child health teaching programme. He is also the Co- Director of the David Hide Asthma and Allergy Research Centre on the Isle of Wight. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and, until June 2014, was Chair of the Pediatric Section.

Dr Kate Grimshaw

Kate Grimshaw qualified as a dietitian in the UK in 1989 after completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (Her first degree was in Human Biology). She has since worked in a number of posts, mostly paediatric. In 1995 she completed her MSc in Human Nutrition and in 2003 gained a post-graduate diploma in Allergy. In 2012 she completed her PhD looking at infant feeding practices in the first year of life and the development of food allergy.
In 1999 she joined the University of Southampton, specialising in maternal and infant nutrition and paediatric food allergy. She has worked on a number of research studies investigating different aspects of paediatric nutrition. Whilst doing this she continued to work clinically, advising parents and carers on many aspects of infant and early years nutrition.

Erin Oliver

Erin Oliver completed her undergraduate Nutrition degree at the University of Surrey in 2004. She then worked for the Institute of Naval Medicine as part of the team researching salt requirements for military personnel working in hot conditions. In 2006 she completed her MSc in Public Health Nutrition at the University of Southampton. After completing her MSc dissertation on early data from the PIFA Study (Prevalence of Infant Food Allergy Study) she joined the University of Southampton to continue working for this study as their Research Nutritionist. Erin is a Registered Nutritionist and is interested in infant and childhood nutrition and has worked in many aspects of clinical research including project delivery, analysis, write-up and paper authorship. Now that the PIFA study is being extended as the FP7 funded iFAAM Project she will be heavily involved in the study co-ordination and delivery.

Dr Keith Foote

Dr Keith Foote is a senior NHS consultant paediatrician at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester with an interest in allergy.  He set up a monthly "one stop" paediatric allergy clinic in Winchester more than 10 years ago which rapidly expanded to a weekly clinic with 3 doctors, a specialist nurse and a dietitian.  Despite holding a busy clinical post, Dr Foote has maintained research interests in the fields of allergy and infant nutrition. Between 2006 and 2012, Dr Foote held a senior management role as Director for the Division of Family Services, comprising the departments of Obstetric and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Sexual Health.
